We picked up a brochure from Visitor Centre with the title "ancient sites - a geological journey'. I will let the pictures speak about these sites. As Matt jokingly said to me, "I didn't know you are interested in geology." Well, I am now. Some of the rocks are dated over 500 million years ago.
Places visited:
Myrtle Beach, Wasp Head - (Murramarang National Park)
Guerilla Bay
Lilli Pilli
Mystery Bay (Eurobodalla National Park)
 |
| Sandstone at Myrtle Beach |
 |
| Ironstone box work at Wasp Head, South Durras |
Somehow these rocks remind me of 'chocolate in a box'.
 |
| Matt found them interesting as well |
 |
| You can see Fay walking in the background |

| Quiet moment - apparently he has visited this place in his dream not so long ago |
Guerilla Bay
 |
| Mushroom growing on the tree at the car park |
 |

Melville Point - if you want to watch humpback whale, this is the place to be from mid Sept to mid Nov.
 |
| Melville Point Lookout |
Lilli Pilli
Mystery Bay - we made a quick stop here on our way back to Melbourne.
